SUMMARY:  

My professional experience has included work with individuals and couples on issues including anxiety, depression, improving relationships, recovery from trauma, parenting, navigating through divorce and the associated parenting issues, anger management, grief and adjustment to health problems.  

I am trained in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Cognitive-Behavioral therapy, and the use of EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing).

WORK EXPERIENCE

Since 2001 I have provided clinical psychological services to adolescents, adults and couples in Rockville, Gaithersburg and the surrounding communities.

During my eight years living overseas in Sri Lanka and Egypt I have worked with Americans, host country nationals, and the expatriate community in each country.  

Between 1986 and 1997 I worked at Gallaudet University providing clinical services, consultation, and teaching in the Clinical Psychology program.
